Digitally floating...

I have so many idea floating around at the moment in terms of digital technology, the three components of my Supper Club are the Creek base, the human, and the bridge. I want three different experiences for each space.

The creek base. [Dining]

- Holographic river
- adaptable moving floor
- Un-expected furniture (felt pebbles)

The Human [function spaces]
- Projection
- smoke?
- Adaptable glass (enclosed, and open)

The Bridge [Bar/VIP]
- Kinetic or weather based components
- Audio??

At the moment the digital components are taking a second spot to the physical layout, and I think for the next presentation I am going to continue with this, but with an end view to both change in Layout and interior spaces.

A night on YouTube...

So after the discussion during class our group decided that the most productive way of sharing our findings for next week would be to create a facebook group and upload what we find
Here are a few (favorites) of the video's I found through a late night trawl of YouTube:

(and the sub groups I have roughly placed them into)
Movement:

(this could also fit into an 'interactive' category...)

Sound:

Light(?):

Weather based:

Pneumatic:

Optical illusion:

A few notes:
The first video here is by far the most interesting to me. The way the shapes are hinted at in the pattern of the cracks, and the way it feels... alive(?) when it moves from one shape to another - I would be interested in integrating something similar into my 'supper club'.

I like the idea of my folie turning into a building that is not stagnant, that can be adjusted, and that breathes. I would like to try and mix this with the idea that the building comes from the site - and that it is only the left over part of something bigger that used to exist.

The idea of sound also appeals to me - not sure how or if this would fit with my folie... I shall think on it.
